The Veliko Turnovo municipality is administrative center with territory of 883 sq. km. and population approximately 100 000 people. The municipality includes the city of Veliko Turnovo and 37 town halls. All main towns and villages have established electric supply, water pipes sewerage and communication networks. Averages of a 30 % of the population have central heating in their homes.

The basic characteristic of the labor force in the region is the presence of high qualified specialists in different fields of the humanitarian science and high technologies - due to the presence of Universities.
Of considerable importance are the traditions in electronics and electrotechnical industry, which predetermine rapid development of High technologies in the region.
